Three-car accident on Reche Road snarls traffic

A three-car accident occurred on Reche Road just east of Gird Road today, Thurs., May 9, shortly after 2:30 p.m.

An adult male, driving an Aston Martin eastbound on Reche Road claims he began experiencing problems with his car and immediately after, the accelerator became stuck in an engaged position. When the man was finally able to engage the brakes, they locked up and the car came into contact with two other vehicles before leaving the roadway and going slightly down a shallow embankment.

A total of four persons were involved in the incident. Paramedics arrived on scene to evaluate all parties involved. No apparent injuries were immediately visible by bystanders.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

    An adult male driving an Aston Martin "claims he began experiencing problems with his car"…. yeah, like speeding and losing it (maybe?). Did he have a stuck pedal due to floor mat a la Toyota? I get it, Aston Martin, nice sports car, I’m sure it’s an awesome drive, but try to really "drive it" where the risk is low(er)…
